Terms of Use
By using AL\ZE — as an employer posting a job or as a candidate completing an AI interview — you accept these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the AL\ZE platform, an AI-powered recruitment and interview service operated by AL\ZE.
By accessing the platform, creating an account or participating in an AI interview as a candidate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms in full. If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the platform.
How the platform works
AL\ZE connects employers and candidates through an automated, objective AI interview process:
Employer posts a job
The employer fills in the role title, requirements, evaluation criteria and any domain-specific tests.
A unique link is generated
ALZE generates a shareable link that the employer sends to their candidates.
AI conducts the interview
Each candidate completes a real-time adaptive interview with our AI. Questions adjust based on their responses and the job criteria.
Scoring & report
The candidate receives a score out of 100 based solely on their skills and performance. The employer receives a full breakdown report.
Eligibility
To use AL\ZE, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering
- Create only one account per person or organisation
- Keep your login credentials confidential
You are responsible for all activity carried out from your account. If you suspect any unauthorised use, notify us immediately at contact@alize.ai.
Employer obligations
As an employer using AL\ZE, you agree to:
- Define job criteria that are lawful, relevant and non-discriminatory
- Inform candidates that their interview will be conducted by an AI and that a score will be generated
- Use interview results only for the specific recruitment decision for which they were collected
- Not make fully automated hiring decisions without human review, in compliance with GDPR Article 22
- Comply with applicable employment and anti-discrimination law in your jurisdiction
Rules of conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on the AL\ZE platform:
- Creating fake profiles or impersonating another person or organisation
- Attempting to manipulate or game the AI interview system
- Sharing your interview link publicly so that unintended candidates may complete it
- Sending spam or unsolicited communications
- Posting or transmitting illegal, defamatory or third-party rights-infringing content
- Attempting to bypass security measures or access unauthorised data
Any breach of these rules may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
Compliance with the EU AI Act
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the “AI Act”) classifies AI systems used in recruitment and employment as high-risk (Annex III, point 4). AL\ZE acts as the provider of this AI system and takes its obligations seriously.
Transparency
Candidates are informed before the interview that they are interacting with an AI system. No deceptive design is used.
Human oversight
Employers are required to review AI scores with a human decision-maker before making any hiring decision. Fully automated rejection is not permitted.
Non-discrimination
The AI evaluates candidates exclusively on job-relevant criteria. Physical, ethnic, gender or origin factors are strictly excluded from scoring.
Data quality
Interview criteria are defined by employers and reviewed by ALZE to ensure they are relevant, proportionate and lawful.
Intellectual property
All platform content — logos, interface design, source code, evaluation algorithms — is the exclusive property of AL\ZE and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Regarding interview data:
- Interview transcripts are processed by ALZE solely to generate the score and report
- Transcripts are not sold, shared with third parties, or used to train external AI models without explicit consent
- Employers receive the score and breakdown report — they do not receive raw transcripts by default
Account suspension and termination
AL\ZE reserves the right to suspend or terminate an account in the following cases:
- Breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent or deceptive behaviour
- Non-compliance with the rules of conduct
- Prolonged account inactivity
- User request
In the event of termination, access to the platform is revoked immediately. Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Liability
AL\ZE provides an AI interview tool to assist employers in their recruitment process. As such:
- ALZE does not guarantee that interview scores will predict job performance
- Final hiring decisions remain the sole responsibility of the employer
- ALZE cannot be held liable for recruitment outcomes based on the use of its scores
- ALZE undertakes to use all reasonable means to ensure platform availability and security
Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable resolution, the parties agree to submit to the competent courts of Paris.
AL\ZE reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any material changes will be notified to users by email or via a notice on the platform with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
